Also, don't forget about shrimp! Amanos or Cherry Shrimp add life to a planted tank and help with cleanup. Just watch out for fish that might snack on them.

True that. My Ember Tetras leave the shrimp alone, but my Betta was a total jerk about it. Had to move him out.
