Mine was stressed till I ditched the plastic plants. Switched to silk, now he's golden.

How often do you feed? Overfeeding can mess with water quality and stress them.

Mine got better when I added Indian almond leaves. They're supposed to help with stress.

Could be the filter noise. Some bettas hate the hum. Try a quieter one if it's loud.

Trying to figure this out for my own currently, we’re changing the filter as it’s the last thing we can think of.. baffling it with a sponge hasn’t helped her, maybe the water flow is too much? Let us know if you figure it out!
