how to choose the right tank for a Betta
Re: how to choose the right tank for a Betta
My betta loves his floating log. It's a cheap addition but gives him a place to hide and chill. Just something to think about when you're setting up the tank.

Don't forget about water conditioner. Tap water has chlorine, which is bad news for bettas. A good conditioner will neutralize it and make the water safe.

Absolutely. And test your water regularly, especially during the first few weeks. Ammonia and nitrite spikes can happen fast in a new tank.SwanLander wrote: ↑Sun Jun 01, 2025 5:59 am Don't forget about water conditioner. Tap water has chlorine, which is bad news for bettas. One more thing—avoid tanks with dividers if you're thinking of keeping multiple bettas. They can still see each other and get stressed, even if they can't fight.

Yeah, dividers are sketchy. Just get separate tanks if you want more than one. Trust me, it's not worth the drama.
