finding suitable mates for a krib tank

Hi, been looking into getting a pair of kribensis, hoping to get a breeding pair.
I've got a 64l tank and was wondering what other fish would be suitable to keep with them. I'd love to have some kind of schooling fish in there as well, to create a nice display.
I was thinking maybe false harlequin, would they be okay with kribs?
I'm trying to keep aggression to a minimum in my tank, as I know how kribs can get when they're breeding.

I recently got a pair of kribs and they're in with my angels, neons, rams, mollies, and catfish. Unfortunately, I've already lost a ram and my bottom feeder's gone after them, so I'm planning on taking the kribs back out.

i think 64l is a bit small for kribs, personally. my pair's in a 125l and they basically own the bottom, apart from my three decent-sized plecs. angels are the only other fish i have in there, works pretty well.

+1 to that. 64l just isn't enough space for a pair of Kribs, especially when they're breeding. They need room to separate if they fall out, and tankmates need space to escape the chaos. I'd say a minimum of a 3-foot tank for any hope of harmony with Kribs.

Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it - cichlids are definitely a long-term goal for me, maybe one day I'll have a bigger tank and be able to give them the space they need.

I recently added phantom tetras to my tank and they seem to coexist peacefully with my kribs, who barely even acknowledge their presence.

edit: I had previously kept cories, but unfortunately, the kribs were quite aggressive towards them, constantly attacking them.
