male mbuna tank setup

Post by trail9 »

Got some pics of my all-male mbuna tank to share. There's one female ps. elongatus orantus and a male yellow lab that are on their way out this weekend. Pics aren't the best, taken with my iPhone - these guys are super fast. I just wanted to show off their colors, they've been looking great lately. Still young, ranging from 3.5" to 2". They've all been together since they were tiny and growing like crazy. Everyone gets along, pecking order and all, they do chase but rarely fight. No serious injuries, no fatalities, and no problem fish I've had to get rid of. Got some awesome advice from guys with killer all-male tanks, and yeah, some of you said it wouldn't work. But so far, so good - even better than I expected. Better pics coming soon, tank's almost complete. Few fish are leaving, few are coming in (hopefully). Sorry again for the crappy pics.
