Which corals are most colorful?
Which corals are most colorful?
I'm setting up a new reef tank and wanna go all out with color. Which ones pop the most under blue LEDs? Looking for something that's gonna stand out, not just blend in.

Zoanthids are a solid choice. They come in neon greens, pinks, and oranges. Mine look insane under my Kessil A360X. Just watch out for palys, some can be toxic if you frag 'em.

Yo, Acans are fire. Got a rainbow one in my 40-gallon, and it's like a disco under blues. Fed it some reef roids last week, and it's glowing even harder now.

I'd recommend Montiporas. Their colors range from deep purple to bright red. They're chill with most tankmates too, just keep your alk stable, or they'll throw a fit.

For pure vibrancy, it's hard to beat Euphyllia. My torch coral has this electric green tip that's unreal. Just give it space, they can get territorial.

Acans are great, but they need consistent feeding. If you're up for the maintenance, they're worth it. Also, check your phosphate levels—they'll brown out if it's too high.rusticfox9 wrote: ↑Sat May 24, 2025 11:28 am Yo, Acans are fire. My vote's for Blastomussa. The red ones look like they're lit from within. Low light, low flow, and they'll thrive without much fuss.

Thanks, everyone. Gonna start with Zoas and maybe a torch. Appreciate the tips!

One last thing—if you're going for Zoas, dip 'em before adding to the tank. Flatworms love to hitchhike on those guys.
