Glad to help. Let us know how it goes. Also, if you're using tap water, check for chloramines. They can sometimes cause melt in sensitive plants.

Root tabs are a great idea. I use them in my planted tanks too. Just make sure to push them deep into the substrate to avoid algae blooms.

yep, that's what i do. shove 'em down deep. also, if you're floating the sprite, keep an eye on the roots. they can get tangled in filters.

I've never had issues with roots tangling, but I use a pre-filter sponge on my intake. Might be worth trying if you're worried about it.

Another thing to consider is temperature. Water Sprite prefers temps between 72-82°F. If your tank is outside that range, it might contribute to the melt.

man, this thread's got more science than my high school bio class. just give it time, sprite's resilient.

Resilient, yes, but stable conditions are key. If you're seeing consistent melt, it's a sign something's off. Don't ignore it.

I'd also recommend trimming any melted leaves. It helps the plant focus energy on new growth. Just use clean scissors to avoid introducing bacteria.
