Hey, just added a Yellow Tang to my 8 month old reef, 4 days ago. I'm worried it might have a case of Lymphocystis - there's this tiny tuft on its top fin. I'll try to get a pic, but this little guy's too quick for me!
Any advice would be awesome, I really don't want to lose this fish. Despite the tuft, the Tang's eating, swimming and acting like it's been in the tank forever - no signs of stress from the transfer.
My yellow tang has lymphocystis
Re: My yellow tang has lymphocystis
What does the LYMPHOCYSTIS look like, is it a small white growth, kinda fluffy looking? I had the same thing on my YT when I first put it in the tank, and it just fell off after a week or so.

I've had similar issues with my emperor angel, it's just the immune system kicking in, give it time and it'll sort itself out. Make sure to mix up the frozen food and throw in some nori, that's what worked for me.
