Are zebra damsels peaceful?

Post by Eonix99 »

hey guys,
thinking of getting a single zebra damsel, wondering if it's gonna be peaceful or a fighter with my other fish. no damsels in the tank atm, but planning on adding 2 clowns and maybe another zebra damsel in a month or so. had blue damsels before (yellow tails) and they were super aggressive to other fish, but my LFS says zebras are chill, is that true?

Honestly, I gotta advise against getting a zebra damsel if you're planning on keeping clowns. I've had my share of experience with damsels and I can tell you, none of them are truly peaceful. If you want to keep clowns, it's best to keep them on their own, or have a massive tank where they can all have their own space.

yeah figured as much, downsized to a 2ft tank, not exactly ideal for multiple damsels, so i'll probably just stick with the clowns.
