I'm thinking she's either got a bad case of crypt and flukes, or the crypt's just bothering her enough to make her go into those crazy shakes and flashes.
I set up a medicated QT tank, moved that awesome rock to the DT and kept the whisper 30 hob filter on the QT, also added some smaller live rock pieces to the QT, and left the wrasse in there too.
When I got home and saw the angel just sitting there in the DT, not moving at all, I figured I'd try treating her or risk losing her anyway. So I added copper safe, a bit lower than the recommended dose - I've read that angels can be pretty sensitive to copper. I added it over a few minutes, and the instructions say to use 1 tsp for 4 gallons, so for my 10g I used 1 and a 1/2tsp. She seems okay so far, no struggling, and the wrasse looks fine too.
Did I mess up, or am I on the right track?
My angel is unwell?
Re: My angel is unwell?
Tremazol is quite popular here for treating flukes.
Re: My angel is unwell?
The way the potters were swimming in the display tank, they didn't look happy at all. The angel, is she eating? She looked really stressed. I'd copper treat but in half dosage, so add half a teaspoon in the morning and the other half teaspoon 40-60 minutes later, that way she can tolerate it.
Good luck.
Regards, scott.
Do you have a UV on the big tank?

Re: My angel is unwell?
She's gone already.
I treated the tank with a 3/4 dose, knowing angels aren't fond of copper. It happened so fast - I'm still trying to process it all. What if I'd caught it sooner? What if we had other meds available locally? The what-ifs are eating away at me. This really is tough to swallow.

Sorry to hear that, beautiful fish indeed
Re: My angel is unwell?
Gutted to hear that, mate, really tough break
Re: My angel is unwell?
It's tough, this one really stings. I knew angels can be tricky to keep, but that doesn't make it any easier.
