Is my new betta unwell?
Is my new betta unwell?
I have two female bettas and one's not eating. The lighter one's the issue. Maybe one of them's unwell?

Relax floranza, we're getting there...
So, how long have you had these two female bettas? What's the tank size like? Are they the only bettas in there? And what are you feeding them, exactly?

I'm still worried about my female betta. The light one still won't eat. I've been thinking, maybe she's sick? I've got a picture of them attached. Any ideas? I've been doing my water changes regularly, but I might start doing them a bit more often, just in case. I've heard that's a good idea if you think your fish might be sick. I've also been told that for tanks like mine, a 50 percent water change a couple of times a week is a good rule of thumb. I'll try that and see if it makes a difference.

The tank is 20 gallons and I've had them for 3 days now. No other bettas in the tank with them. I'm trying to feed them Betta Bio Gold from Hikari.

She's the solo occupant of the tank.

Good news that she's alone in a nice big tank - that's a great start. You might want to try feeding her some frozen brine shrimp, see if that tempts her to eat. And don't forget about those water changes - bigger and more often can make a big difference. Also, think about the lighting in your tank - if it's too bright, it could be stressing her out. Adding some floating plants could help with that.
