introducing two new fish

Post by Eonix99 »

just got my new additions - a blue star damsel and a maroon percula clown. i've already got an orange percula, and as soon as the maroon one joined, they've been inseparable. i'm talking instant attraction, lol. the orange one gets a bit jittery when the maroon one gets too close, but from what i've read, that's either a sign of mating or submission, so either way, it's all good. they're basically best buddies now, and the damsel's still pretty timid, but i'm sure that'll change soon enough, lol. will post a vid update once my cam's charged.

Yeah, they seem pretty cool about each other, lol, the clownfish are always together and the damsel's still a bit shy, but I'm sure that'll change soon.

yeah they are, the damsel's actually been pretty cool about it, chased the darker one off a couple times but no nipping or anything, now they're all swimming together in a little group lol

thats awesome, i was pretty surprised the clowns bonded so fast. literally the second i added the maroon clown, they've been inseparable lol. my orange clown was solo for about a month after i got rid of the yellow tail damsel, that thing was a bully. are your clowns a breeding pair? i'm hoping mine will breed, but not sure if it's possible since they're different colors, but same type i think.

You're asking about the clownfish colors, right? I've got a maroon one and an orange one, same type of fish but different colors, wondering if that affects breeding.

i mean one's maroon and one's orange, but they're both percula clowns, same type, just different colors, not like one's a maroon and the other's a different species lol.

yeah they're both perculas, just different colours, they seem to get along fine though, not entirely sure if they'll ever pair up or not
