You said you do 90% water changes every week or 30% every 2 days - I'm still a bit confused about that. If it's 30% every 3 days, it's not like you're replacing 90% of the water in a week. When you do a 30% change, some of that water was already changed 2 days ago, so it's not entirely new water.

I'm really sorry to hear about your discus' condition, it's possible that it's a fungal infection. I think it's worth trying to change the water more frequently or give the tank a good cleaning, it might just do the trick.

Post #3. Are WC's 90% once a week or 30% every 2 days. If it's 30% every three days, that is not 90% new water in the tank in a week. Some of that 30% is water you changed 2 days prior to each WC is also removed.

I appreciate the clarification on water changes. I'm actually doing 30-35% every 2 days, not 3. My goal was to gather opinions on the fish's condition, which is why I posted in the first place.

Update on my blue discus - healing's coming along nicely. Looks like it was just those scratches after all, like many of you initially thought. I appreciate the input, thanks for helping me out.

Glad to hear the update, mate. Healing up quickly, just scratches after all - great news indeed.
