I'm really worried about my betta, he's just not himself lately.
So, a week or so ago, I had to treat the tank for fungus because my ottocinclus got a bad case of it - and a bitten tail, which I'm pretty sure wasn't the betta's doing. During the treatment, my betta started "pine coning" and I couldn't tell if it was dropsy or just bloat from eating too much. I mean, he was munching on his food and some of the catfish pellets too.
I stopped feeding them for 48 hours and he seemed fine again, so I figured it was just bloat. But then I did a 50% water change yesterday, a week after the fungus treatment, and now he's acting really depressed. He's just sitting on the filter, or on the sand with his head between the stones, fins closed, and he's really lethargic. Now he's not even eating - I put in some frozen food he loves, but he's ignoring it and just hanging out in the top corner, looking really undernourished.
I'm at a loss, what can I do to turn things around? Should I do another big water change so soon? Any ideas would be great, thanks.
