keeping a regal tang
i've had my regal for over a year now and we've been through some rough times, 1st it was the initial settling in issues, then that nasty ich outbreak that wiped out his tankmates (yellow tang & naso tang) now he's looking great (colour, size, the works) but he's turned into a total hermit, hiding all day when he used to be out and about, it's also messing with his appetite and i'm worried he's not getting enough to eat, anyone know what's going on? is he pining for his old mates?
Re: keeping a regal tang
Nah, i'm thinkin it might be stress or boredom, maybe he's just missin the interaction with his old tankmates, like a yellow tang and a naso tang woulda kept him company, now he's just on his own.

Cheers Fleeton, I'll have to look that one up mate, not too sure about latelin Erosion, is it something that affects tangs in particular?

Similar to FW hole in the head, hexamita's a possibility, might be worth upping the veggie intake to see if that helps. If he's not eating, options are pretty limited, separate tank and chemicals might be the way to go, but that's a last resort.

That's what happened to me twice, had to quarantine the tank and take water out into a separate tank for 4 days. If it's not eating, gotta leave it for another 4 days, that's what I did and it took 12 days but my LFS was right, it worked like a charm. Just feed it frozen food or its fave food and then put it back in the tank.
