Starting a new aquarium

When do most 46 gallon tanks wrap up their "beginning cycle?" I had a 30 gallon tank, it took about 5 months - does a bigger tank cycle faster?

If we're talking about marine tanks, the cycle time can vary quite a bit, but generally it's anywhere from 1-4 weeks, depending on the condition of the live rock when it was introduced.
