Puffer and triggers

Post by felixon »

Still on the fence about my 130 litre nano tank setup.

Puffers or triggers appeal to me, but I'm also considering coflakes down the line.
Are there any puffer or trigger species that are safe for a reef tank?

Triggers are a no-go for a 130 litre nano tank, size-wise. If you're looking for something similar, you might want to consider tobys or the valentini puffer - they're relatively reef safe, but be aware they'll likely take out your smaller inverts.

I agree with the tobies, lovely little fish. I had a leopard toby before, very curious to everything around them. Got lucky and he never touched coflakes or inverts.
