blue tursios need a lot of space, minimum 5ft tank, so at least 125 gallons

Tursios, being haplochromis cichlids, will indeed grow quite large, around 8-10". They're active swimmers, so a spacious tank is essential. A 72" long tank would be ideal, to be honest.

While they do grow slower than most cichlids, it's best to have a suitable tank from the start, rather than upgrading later. The main concern with keeping them with Yellow labs, apart from tank size, is their dietary needs. Labs are mostly herbivores, whereas tursios are carnivores. However, this can be easily managed with a balanced food like NLS.

Both species are diggers and sand sifters, but tursios especially. Using sand substrate would be a good idea, in my opinion.

My tank's 42x15x18, no way near big enough. I'm gettin a bigger one but I reckon I'll keep 'em separate now. 8-10 inch fish next to labs would look a bit daft. I just liked the colours, thought they'd go well together. I like both fish. Was thinkin about postin pics but then I'd have to learn that bb code malarkey.

If you're still keen on that blue and yellow combo, how about a group of labs with one of the smaller blue mbuna, like a dwarf species? Alternatively, you could do a full tank of saulosi - the males are blue with bars and the females are a lovely yellow.
