Duncan coral care and troubleshooting

I got this duncan with one head a year ago and it was doing alright, same flow, same light, nothing changed. Now it's closing up every day, like this. I'm stumped, any ideas what's going on? What can I do to help it out?

He was chillin' at the bottom left corner of the tank for over 6 months, doin' great, just recently moved him to the top.

I had a similar issue with my duncan, it was doing great then suddenly it started closing up too. I didn't change anything, same water flow, same lighting, same everything. I did move it to a different spot in the tank though. I'm not saying that's what's causing the issue, but it's something to consider. Maybe try giving it some space or rearranging the tank a bit, see if that helps.

Wasn't that duncan pretty much right next to a torch or something?
