I've been observing my Percula clown for a couple of days now, and it's been acting pretty strange. I'll enter the room and catch it leaning to one side, only to see it flip upside down, then right itself again. The symptoms seem to match those of Swim Bladder Disease – loss of balance and abnormal swimming patterns.
I'm mainly concerned about two things: is this likely Swim Bladder Disease, and is it a life-threatening condition for my fish or just something that'll make it a bit clumsy?
Is my percula clownfish diseased?
Re: Is my percula clownfish diseased?
It's probably some form of swim bladder disease, and unfortunately, these cases are usually fatal for the fish. Medicated quarantine treatments are an option, but honestly, they don't often yield positive results.

Poor Nemo... I'm really hoping she'll be okay. My mom thinks she's been doing this weird swimming thing since we first brought her home, but I don't know, I just don't think that's true. Hopefully, it's not as serious as it sounds. She's been doing this for about four months now and she's still going strong, so fingers crossed. I'm really attached to her, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed she'll be fine.
