connecting the african community online

Has anyone had success buying African cichlids, specifically mbuna, from an online supplier? I usually buy from livtideflowdirect.com but their selection has been pretty slim lately - I'm guessing due to high demand. Any luck with other suppliers?

I've had a good experience with Aquabid, to be honest, it's one of the few places I trust. The prices are generally lower compared to other websites, and most sellers have outstanding feedback, which is reassuring. You can also stumble upon some pretty rare and unique species there, which is a big plus.

I appreciate the tip, I'll definitely check out Aquabid.

Beantown Aquatics in Massachusetts is top-notch for African cichlids - the owner's a total expert, only deals with these fish. It's a small, hobbyist-owned business, possibly home-based (don't quote me on that), but what they offer is top-tier: healthy, sexed specimens, no exceptions. You pay a bit more, but the shipping and customer service make it well worth it.

Here's a tour of Beantown Aquatics' impressive setup - over 100 tanks dedicated to their African cichlid collection.
