Optimal placement for corals

Post by lunar9 »

Just got these three frags in a partial trade for some cabinet work I did for my LFS, been a while since I added anything new to the tank. Not really sure where to place these types of corals, could use some general advice on placement.

I usually check Live Aquaria for the specific coral I have and go with their placement suggestions. I always start them low in the tank and move them up or to a different spot after a week or two if they seem to like it. If they don't open up, I know they're not happy with the location, so I try somewhere else.

Looks like you've got a baltic flint, zoa, and possibly a brain coral - the picture's not loading properly on my computer for some reason.

I've got a go-to guide that I use when adding new corals, and I pair it with LiveAquaria for flow suggestions - seems to work well. Check this out: http://www.drsfostersmith.com/Media/PDF ... ingMap.pdf.
