Hi guys/girls, would 2 Electric Yellow Lab Cichlids be alright with my current tank inhabitants - 3 angel fish, 2 electric blue rams and 1 baby bristlenose pleco, plus 5 dwarf gouramis.

Not a good idea, mate. They're a Malawi species tank only fish, need different water conditions to your others. Won't work with your angels, rams, and gouramis.

You'll soon learn to take what LFS staff say with a pinch of salt. I was at a top-rated LFS recently and overheard the Tropical Manager flogging 2 massive Oscars to a bloke for a 42" tank. I was taken aback, to be honest, considering the shop's good rep and all. But, of course, they stood to make a tidy £49 from the sale. It's a good job we've got forums like this where people can get genuine advice without any hidden agendas.
