I've been holding off on sharing this until I had the tank in my possession. I've had my planted 105L and 54L QT for a while now, but I recently stumbled upon an incredible deal that I just couldn't pass up. I'm excited to say that I've finally filled the last available space in my room - no more expansion for me, sadly.
I'm proud to introduce my new project: a 280L (75 US Gallons) tank, measuring 120 x 40 x 60 cm. The tank is a CIANO En Pro120, paired with an Emotions Nature Pro stand. The original price tag is around €750+, but I managed to snag it for €350. After a quick clean, the tank is looking like new, and I'm absolutely thrilled with the deal.
As a student, I have to be mindful of my budget, so I won't be rushing to set this tank up. That means I've got plenty of time to research, plan, and discuss my ideas with you all. I'm eager to create a tank that's as close to perfect as possible, choosing the best equipment and hardscape for the job.
The problem is, I'm still undecided on the style of tank I want to create or the type of fish I want to cater to. I've been thinking of rehoming my 12 Hengel's rasbora and increasing their numbers.
I'd love to hear your suggestions, ideas, and see your tanks of similar size. Please share your thoughts, and let's get the conversation started.
My current water parameters are: pH 7.6, GH 9, KH 5.5 (GH/KH are in German degrees). My tap water has 10ppm Nitrates. For my Hengel's rasbora, I'll need to maintain a tank temperature between 23-28 degrees Celsius.

That's a fantastic deal you've snagged, I'm a bit jealous. Looking forward to seeing how your 280L project unfolds, you've got a world of possibilities with a tank of that size.

That's an insane deal you got there. A 75-gallon tank is basically a blank canvas, just waiting for you to turn it into something amazing. You've got endless possibilities with a tank that size, and I'm sure whatever you decide on will turn out great.
