Got a credit note at my LFS that's burning a hole in my pocket, and they've got some lovely Lamprologus Ornatipinnis shellies in stock. I'm thinking they'd be a great fit for my 29g tank - it's 30x12x18, so decent space for them to roam.
I've had experience with brevis in this tank before, kept two pairs and they got along famously, but I've heard ornatipinnis have a different personality - more laid-back like occellatus, maybe? The ones they have in stock are around 1.5-2 inches long, but I know the males can grow up to 3+ inches.
Considering their temperament, I'm leaning towards starting with one male and three females - what do you reckon?
