A story came to mind as I read this - my lionfish experience. I'd spent ages planning and dreaming of my first one. When the day finally came to buy it, I was beyond excited. It looked amazing in the tank, but sadly, it was dead the next morning.
The same thing happened to the second one. I thought maybe I'd just been unlucky, so I gave it another go. The third one vanished into thin air. That's when I decided to cut my losses and give up on the lionfish dream.

One of my most memorable mishaps was when I accidentally left my external filter off for 12 hours - I completely forgot to switch it back on. When I finally realized my mistake, I quickly turned it back on, but unfortunately, it almost led to disaster with a sulfur spike. Luckily, I only lost my chromis, but my clownfish, Coflakes, was visibly upset for days afterwards.
