keeping plecos in malawi
Went to my LFS today and spotted a stunning pleco, pretty sure it's a leopard pleco, will get a pic up soon. Been wondering if it'll get along with my lake Malawis, LFS said it's fine but I've fallen for that one before without doing my research. Occasionally my traversays get a bit testy if he's in their space. Will he thrive in this setup? pH is around 7.5, just want to make sure I'm giving him the best chance.

Red sailfin pleco's a big fella, 30cm+ and they can be messy. Should be alright with your lake Malawis though, just keep an eye on the space.

That foot-long fish would live with most Africans fine. I mean, there's a risk of eye plucking with Mbuna, just a heads up.oakleyride wrote: ↑Tue Feb 18, 2025 3:17 am Red sailfin pleco's a big fella, 30cm+ and they can be messy.
