out of control amazon sword

Post by circlege »

I've got an Amazon sword that's totally taken over my 10 gallon. I'm thinking of separating it, leaving some in the 10 gallon and moving some to my 55 gallon. The 55 gallon's my cichlid tank with sand substrate, so I'm wondering if my plant will make it there.

I've never actually split mine, but I suppose it's worth a shot. Sand substrate shouldn't cause any issues. My own swords have gotten massive - I've got one that's currently sporting a couple of flower stalks, which is pretty cool.

Can you post a pic of the sword? What's the species, btw?
