Nemenzophyllia fox coral species
Nemenzophyllia fox coral species
I've been noticing a lack of discussion about this coral, which I personally find stunning. Does anyone here have experience keeping fox corals and would be willing to share some photos and insights? I'm thinking of adding one to my setup and I'd love to learn more about them from people who have hands-on experience.

I've had my share of struggles with this coral, and it's rarely available at the local fish stores in my area. I once inquired with an owner, and he mentioned that many people have had trouble keeping them thriving. Goniopora and Elegance corals also seem to be elusive, with more cautionary tales than success stories. I wish you the best of luck, though.

Re: Nemenzophyllia fox coral species
I've had my share of struggles with these corals, but I've finally found a sweet spot. Lower flow and definitely lower light are key - I learned that the hard way after losing two specimens to too much of both. Now, mine is thriving in a quiet corner, halfway back and all the way to the side, on the bottom of the tank. It's really a beautiful coral, but you just have to find where it's happy. I've also found that feeding it with a turkey baster and some PE Mysis twice a week does the trick.
