acquiring copepods for mandarin fish

Post by felixon »

I've been considering purchasing copepods online, mainly because I'm interested in getting a Mandarin, but I don't have the luxury of time or space to cultivate a colony on my own.

Currently, I have a 3-foot tank with about 70-75 pounds of live rock. I'd love to hear from anyone who's bought copepods online - what's the general price range and how's the service been for you?

I've bought from Reefworks before, they're alright. No problems with my order.

I've had similar experiences with reefworks, their copepods are always super concentrated and healthy.

I've tried 5582jbsmarines on eBay, got a 110ml bottle of copepods. It did the job. Also used phytoplus "podz" a few times, £4.50 for a 30ml bottle. Worth every penny, got more in the smaller bottle than the 110ml one from the other seller.

I've also used reefworks, no complaints here. Their 3-month pack is the way to go, works out a bit cheaper. Delivery's always on the same day, week in week out.
