need help with vermiculated angel
I'm having some issues with my vermiculated angelfish - it's getting pretty aggressive. My angel's been chasing my little nemos into a corner where they can't even swim away. I feel bad for the poor guys. Does anyone know how to reduce aggression in these fish?

Tank setup, pics, and details would be helpful. SH
Vermiculated angelfish are naturally semi-aggressive, so it's tough to completely change that behavior.

I'd try rearranging the tank to reduce territorial behavior in your vermiculated angelfish. Since it's semi-aggressive by nature, breaking its line of sight might help.
Tank setup sounds pretty standard - 30 gallons, heater, live rock, some upside down pots for hiding, hood, light, and an Aqueon 30 filter with a powerhead.
Re: need help with vermiculated angel
How big is that angel of yours, 30 gallons seems a bit cramped for them unless it's still pretty small. Remember, territorial behavior is natural in fish, and let's be honest, big fish eat little fish. Clownfish are generally peaceful, but your angel is semi-aggressive and larger, so it's no surprise it's chasing them.
Compatibility is key when adding new fish to your tank, even if they're considered non-aggressive. Putting them in small spaces or with similar species can bring out aggression. Your 30-gallon tank is a bit limited, especially with a semi-aggressive fish like the angel. This constant harassment is probably stressing out your clowns and might even stop them from eating. I'd consider making some changes. Maybe others can offer some different advice.
