A 29-gallon tank for a polar white parrot
A 29-gallon tank for a polar white parrot
I've got a polar white parrot cichlid, and it's doing great in the 29-gallon tank by itself. Used to have a polar blue parrot cichlid in the same tank, but had to separate them since the blue one kept eating the babies. Was able to raise a bunch after that and even got some store credit for them. Now I'm trying to figure out what else I can put in the 29-gallon with the polar white. I did try adding the polar blue back, but the white one went after it. Anyone have any suggestions?

To give you a better idea of the tank's space, what are the dimensions - length, width, and height?
Considering the polar white parrot cichlid's size and aggression, there aren't many fish you can safely add to the tank. The cichlid can grow up to 4 inches or more, and may attack any new additions. If you want to add a species that can hold its own, like rosy barbs, they require a school of 10 or more and a tank with a minimum length of 4 feet to thrive.
