Kribensis can be kept in groups, but they'll still form pairs. It's not necessary to split them off into pairs, but you'll see some aggression between the males during breeding.

Kribensis will naturally pair off, and once they do, each pair will claim the entire tank floor as their territory. They just don't work in groups as adults.
