The first one's a male electric blue cichlid, pretty sure of it.

I was told this guy's an Aulonocara Ngara - Flametail Peacock Cichlid, but that's incorrect, right?dazed_knots wrote: ↑Sun Jan 19, 2025 12:35 pm The first one's a male electric blue cichlid, pretty sure of it.

Re: is anyone experienced with identification?
A closer look makes me think it's probably a peacock cichlid. I'm not getting flametail from it though, the tail doesn't seem red to me.
Re: is anyone experienced with identification?
The last one has a Blue Zebra vibe going on, but the facial markings are off...not quite sure what these guys are.
Re: is anyone experienced with identification?
I think it's quite likely he's a Peacock, but since he's still young, I'm guessing the red tail will develop over time.dazed_knots wrote: ↑Sun Jan 19, 2025 12:35 pm The first one's a male electric blue cichlid, pretty sure of it.

I'm going to take a stab and say maybe Afra Hara "White Top"? It's a tough call, though.

I'm thinking the middle one might be a female, possibly?
Re: is anyone experienced with identification?
The one in the middle was supposed to be a female version of the one below, but I'm still unsure about its ID. I'm fairly certain it's a female, though, since its colors aren't as vibrant.dazed_knots wrote: ↑Sun Jan 19, 2025 12:35 pm The first one's a male electric blue cichlid, pretty sure of it.

I'm fairly certain the middle and last ones aren't the same type of fish.

They both resemble the same type of fish to me, possibly different species or variations within the same type.
