Check on it at night after lights out, see if that favia is stinging it.

I noticed a huge improvement in my Scoly's color and health after I started feeding it Fauna Marin LPS pellets.

One trick I use is to create a little feeding station - grab a coke bottle, cut it up, and place it over the Scoly's mouth at night when the tentacles are out. Then, drop in some pellets and let it be until it's done eating. This keeps those sneaky shrimp from stealing the food and lets my Scoly eat in peace.

I had a similar experience with my Acans - minimal growth in the first 3 months. Switched to the coke bottle method, which made all the difference. I modified mine by adding holes for better water flow, keeping the food particles suspended. The results are clear - over the past 5 months, growth has been double what I saw in the initial 3. It's not uncommon now to see it close up, eat, reopen, and grab another piece floating in the bottle.
