Cynotilapia afra care and info
Re: Cynotilapia afra care and info
My tank's been cycled for a while now. I posted a picture in a thread somewhere on this forum, can't quite remember which one - I think it was that Peacock vs Mbuna thread. I've re-scaped it since then, got some more rock and it's looking good. There are some pics in the New Tanks section under T5 lighting, if you want to take a look. I thought waiting for the tank to cycle was hard, but deciding on the stocking is a whole different level of frustrating.

I've checked out your tank, really nice setup, the greenery adds a nice touch. Been thinking about your stocking dilemma, I know the excitement of getting new fish, but the decision-making process can be a real headache, huh?
Re: Cynotilapia afra care and info
Just took a few photos after re-scoping the tank. The T5 lighting is really bringing out the colors of the decor - can't wait to see how it'll make the fish pop. Still waiting to hear back from the supplier about stock availability. Thinking of going with Nkhata Bay Labs, Rusties, Cyno Jalo Reef, and Pseudo. sp. Jewel Spots - a nice mix of colors. Fingers crossed the Jewel Spots won't be too feisty. Planning on 4 or 5 of each, we'll see how it goes.

Your tank's looking fantastic, I can only imagine how great it'll be once the fish are in. Hopefully, you'll get the ones you want and everything will fall into place. I think the T5's will really bring out the colors of the fish and also help with the algae for them to graze on, that's always a bonus.
