Bought three hammers today, but I'm stumped - are they for walls or branches? Been reading up on the difference, but my lack of experience with corals is holding me back. Can anyone help me out?

Branching hammer corals
Re: Branching hammer corals
The first two seem like wall hammers to me, the third one's a bit harder to tell, looks like it could be for branching though.
Re: Branching hammer corals
A wall hammer typically has a one-piece skeleton, and it grows slower. On the other hand, a branch hammer has individual heads. If you see it on a stalk, that's usually a good sign it's a branching hammer.
Re: Branching hammer corals
Branching hammers literally branch out, each head's on its own. Your first two, I'm pretty sure, are wall hammers. They're way more high maintenance.
Re: Branching hammer corals
Honestly, I'm no expert, I've only ever dealt with claw hammers, so I'm not much help here.

I'll take a frag of that when you're ready, Kalixa.
