I followed @coltin's advice - water change, vacuumed the substrate, and cleaned the tank walls. Now I'm waiting for the aquarium salt to arrive. Just noticed a red colour on the end of his tail and I'm getting a bit worried. What could be causing it?
Water parameters look good: ammonia and nitrite are zero, and nitrates are below 20ppm.
Is something wrong with this person?
Re: Is something wrong with this person?
It's probably just his natural coloration, I really don't think it's a disease or anything.

I'm probably overreacting, huh? Got a bad feeling, though. You think it's just me being a paranoid betta mom @essjay

Hope your little guy's doin' alright
Re: Is something wrong with this person?
Still waiting for feedback from @essjay and @coltin.
Re: Is something wrong with this person?
Considering his overall coloration, I'm thinking it might just be some new development. It's possible though, that it could be a burn of some sort, but I'm leaning towards it being a color change.
Re: Is something wrong with this person?
No heater in the tank for now, temps still a bit high after the water change, rules out heater burn. Water parameters look good, no ammonia or nitrite to cause issues, and nitrates are under control at below 20ppm. I think it's just a new coloration burst, like you said.
Re: Is something wrong with this person?
It might be fin rot, so keep an eye on him for any shredding in his tail over the next few days, but it could also be new coloration, considering his other colors and water parameters seem fine.

So, I'm keeping an eye on him. What else should I look for?
