Optimizing coral placement, identification, and water flow

Post by hydroflow »

I recently picked up this coral a few weeks back, and I think it's gonna stick around long enough for me to ask for some advice. I'd love to know what type it is and what kind of flow it needs. I'm also looking for some placement ideas. I've got a standard 180, previously had SPS, and I'm currently running 3 x 400w 10k MH until I can get more corals in the tank. I'm trying out a few LPS and will be working my way back to SPS after that tank crash a while back. At night, the tentacles from the green areas get super long, considering its size. The color had faded a bit since I got it, but it's coming back now. This pic is from about a month ago.

IME, this coral's pretty low maintenance. I came across this page that might help - http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod ... catid=3159
