Growing my baby dwarf tears (hc)

Considering the title, I'm interested in growing Baby Dwarf Tears in my tank. Here are a few key facts about my setup...

I've got a mildly planted 60-gallon tank, nothing too intense. I use Flourish and Flourish Excel, following the recommended dosing instructions on the labels. Lighting-wise, I have a Current Satellite Freshwater LED+. I'm still relatively new to planted tanks and only have some basic plants at the moment.

Given my tank specs, would Baby Dwarf Tears be a good fit, or would I just end up killing them? Any advice on how to care for them if I decide to give it a shot? I'd appreciate any input, thanks!

To grow Baby Dwarf Tears successfully, I think we need more info on your tank setup - what are the dimensions of your tank, by the way? Also, what's the desired look you're going for with this plant? From what I've read, most people have had success with it by doing daily fert dosing, using high light, and adding gas CO2.

Hey, sorry for the delay. My tank's footprint is 4' x 16" - I'm thinking of setting up a little corner area for the Baby Dwarf Tears, sort of enclosed by some sterilized rocks.

How tall is your tank - I think the dimensions could be a bit of a challenge for Dwarf Baby Tears. High lighting is crucial for this plant, and it works best when it's pretty close to the light source. Since light diminishes quickly as it travels through water, it might be tough to get the desired effect in a larger tank. That being said, if you're up for the challenge, you could try using it in a corner like you mentioned, with some high-quality ferts and CO2 injection to help it thrive.

With proper lighting, it should start to carpet nicely, which is usually the goal with this plant. What kind of substrate are you using, by the way?
