I've seen it time and time again, shops trying to pass off super deltas as half moons just to bump up the price tag. To confirm, you'll want to get your fish to flare by holding a mirror in front of him - the reflection should trigger a reaction. Check the tail edges; if they're at a full 180 degrees, it's likely a half moon. Anything less, and it's probably a super delta or a young half moon that hasn't fully developed yet. If that's the case, try the mirror trick again in a couple of months to see if things have changed.
