It started out looking great under my LED's, but today it's like this
I'm trying to get it back to its original shape.
Lights are 30-50% max ramping for 8hrs on the SB. I had it in the back right corner under the overflow box, hoping that would be a lower light area. All parameters are spot on. The LPS are all thriving, including another Favia I have.
Any suggestions appreciated.

Bumping this up, still looking for some insight on how to restore my Favia's original beauty
Re: Mayan sun favia care and troubleshooting
I'm gonna take a guess here, but I think it might be getting a bit too comfortable in that lower light spot. Maybe try bumping up the light a notch, see if that helps it perk back up.

Moved it up front now, gave it some chopped Mysis flintix9t last night, thanks
Re: Mayan sun favia care and troubleshooting
More light's probably the way to go, lack of it usually causes browning.
Re: Mayan sun favia care and troubleshooting
Too much nutrient load can also cause browning, but I think your other thriving Favia suggests that's not the issue here. Favias are pretty particular - most are low-light lovers, but I've got a couple that are total light hogs, just like my acros. Given its spot in the corner, I think your Favia just needs a bit more light to shine, rather than a drastic increase.
Re: Mayan sun favia care and troubleshooting
I've found the same with my own Favias - some seem to really thrive under higher light conditions, while others prefer a bit more shade.
Re: Mayan sun favia care and troubleshooting
My other Favia's are thriving though, which is why I'm stumped by this one - same parameters, same lighting setup, yet this one's browning out on me.

Happened to mine too after I fragged some eyes from the mom. Took a few weeks, but it colored up real nice once I found a spot that worked for it.
