considering satwater...
I've recently got a tank with a red fin shark that we need to get rid of, so I'm thinking of replacing it with a pair of clownfish and maybe a couple of other fish. The tank's not that big, so I won't be able to fit many in there anyway. I was wondering, how much do clownfish cost these days? I'll also need to pick up some salt and sand, but hopefully, I'll be allowed to get a new one. Are they pretty easy to look after? I've also got a starfish in the tank, so I'm wondering if clownfish are okay with them.
Re: considering satwater...
Depends what type of clownfish you're after, price wise they can vary quite a bit, from around £18 to £100.

Hey to the salty side,
What's the size of your tank? Some people say 20 gallons is enough for a pair of clowns, but personally, I think 25 gallons is the bare minimum.

Right now, just a common clownfish. my tank's roughly 20 gallons. I've been looking up prices online and they're quite expensive. First things first, I need to rehome the shark, give the tank a proper clean out, get the sand, salt, and equipment set up and leave it for about 2 weeks before I can buy any fish. Once it's set up, I'll probably start with a pair of clownfish and maybe a starfish.

You might want to add some Live Rock to the tank as well for filtration, I'm thinking you'll need about 10Kg, which is gonna be a lot more expensive than a clownfish.

No starfish for you, I'm afraid - unless you're thinking of asternias, 20 gallons is just too small and it'd end up starving.
