keeping gardneri killifish

Post by jink »

got a pair of gardneri killifish in my 15 gallon, it's pretty packed with moss and other plants. seen a couple of babies swimming around but i'm guessing there's a bunch more hiding in the moss. there's definitely a big one, comes out the most. not sure if i should add another pair, would love to hear your thoughts. will update with a pic when i get home

I'd say hold off on adding another pair, if they're breeding. Don't wanna overcrowd the tank. You'll also wanna separate the babies, the bigger ones'll eat the smaller ones.

Think adding another female would be ok or no

Stick with the pair you've got. Adding more fish, even just a female, can disrupt their breeding, and you don't want that.
