Using fluval sea iodine for coral dipping

Post by Aurorix »

Hi everyone, I'd really appreciate some guidance on this.

I've been dealing with a torch coral that's developed brown jelly disease. I removed it and treated it with coral dip for about 40 minutes, and it's showing some improvement, but it's been 3 or 4 days and the issue isn't completely resolved - it's looking a bit lighter, but still present. I'm wondering what the typical timeframe is for recovery and if I should consider trying an iodine dip. I have Fluval sea iodine on hand, which recommends a dosage of 5 ml per 100 gallons as a supplement. Does anyone know the recommended dosage and duration for a dip?

Any additional advice on how to eliminate this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

For an iodine dip, I'd recommend going with 5 to 10 minutes.

What's the dosage for the iodine dip, 5 ml per 100 gallons is for supplementing, not dipping, right?
