I've had a similar experience with Salvinia. I cleared it out of my 10g betta tank after it triggered a nasty bacteria bloom. But it seems a tiny bit managed to evade me, and it's been making a comeback ever since.

Duckweed's a nuisance, no question about that.belleora wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2024 9:49 pmI'd shared before that I was cleaning some aquarium gear, and I'd left a bucket of bleach solution outside for a few days - I'd been out of commission with a nasty flu bug. When I finally got around to dumping it, I was shocked to find some vibrant, healthy duckweed thriving in the bleach.littleking wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2024 5:57 pm I think that's a great find for those struggling with live plants. The Marineland Plastic Bamboo really does have a realistic look to it.
Killing that stuff is quite the feat, I must say.
I've got a soft spot for java moss, though. I recall an experiment where I completely dehydrated it, just to test the rumors - and yes, it's true, it'll rehydrate and start growing again.

I recently had to get rid of Salvinia in my 10g betta tank due to a nasty bacteria bloom it caused. Turns out, not all of it was gone, and now I've got some growing back. Guess I didn't get it all after all.
