Epiphytes: plants growing on other plants
Epiphytes: plants growing on other plants
I've recently started experimenting with aquatic plants in my aquarium and I've come across an unexpected issue - a new sprout has appeared on one of my existing plants. It seems to be stuck or attached to the leaf, and I'm unsure of the best course of action. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Don't bother with it. Some plants just naturally grow new ones right off the end of a leaf.
What's with the lines on the glass in the first pic? They kinda look like Hydra to me.

That's Java Fern you've got there. Baby plants form on the leaves, that's normal. Looks like you've also got some Seachem Seaflex plants in the sand. For the Java Fern, it's best to attach it to a piece of wood or a rock with some string or a rubber band. Gel Super Glue works too. If you leave it in the sand, the roots will just rot.
