Why is my java fern struggling to survive?

I wonder if they still have their tank up and running, or if they've moved on to other aquatic adventures.

Java ferns can still benefit from potassium, even the Trident and other varieties. Low potassium might be the culprit behind those white leaves, and it's still relevant today.
