My tank's already home to some finned friends, so I'm not sure they'd appreciate a drastic change like that.whetu wrote: ↑Sun May 14, 2023 8:48 pm Plant the rice in a shallow container first, then transfer it to the tank when it's big enough. Start with a low water level, around 3-4 inches, and gradually increase it as the rice grows, giving the plants time to adjust. Once the rice is established and the water level is suitable, you can introduce fish to the tank.

I'd love to start fresh, but my tank's already home to a bunch of finned friends - they might not appreciate a complete overhaul. Guess I'm stuck with transplanting my rice into the tank once it's big enough.

I think I'll need a bigger space to accommodate all these rice plants.whetu wrote: ↑Sun May 14, 2023 8:48 pm Plant the rice in a shallow container first, then transfer it to the tank when it's big enough.
