Aquaponics systems for raising fish

Post by mythics »

Hey, so my brother and I have been digging into aquaponics and I've stumbled upon something that's got me concerned. The fish in these systems often seem to be neglected when it comes to space. I mean, you see goldfish in tiny aquariums and trout or tilapia in bins, which isn't ideal. This isn't the case everywhere, but it's pretty common from what I've seen. Got any thoughts on this?

I've come across similar concerns as well. It's quite disturbing, to be honest, seeing fish cramped in small spaces. The welfare of these animals should be a top priority in aquaponics.

I think the problem lies with people who are mainly interested in the gardening side of aquaponics - they often don't put in the time to research proper fish care.

Even pros who do this for a living seem to neglect fish space, they're all about raising them for food and cover every other aspect, but somehow space gets barely a thought. If my brother ever started an aquaponics system, I'd make sure the fish have enough room to thrive.

I recently purchased CHUWPI AquaOrganic Aquaponics Fish Feed for our all-organic aquaponics setup. We opted for fingerling tilapia and initially, I was concerned the food pellets might be too large for them. However, the pellets soften enough for our fish to easily consume them. What drew me to this product was its organic guarantee, which includes a detailed breakdown of the ingredients. It's also widely recognized as a purely organic fish food, free from fish meal and GMO ingredients, aligning perfectly with our setup's organic standards.
